¨Teachers get baseball bats to confront shooters in Pennsylvania district¨ Christina Caron This article involves the school superintendent of Millcreek Township school district, William hall defending the plan of handing teachers bats to defend themselves against school shooters. It also involves the parents disagreeing with the idea and trying to either get stricter gun laws/ban guns or arm teachers with guns not bats. This article explained Pennsylvania's plan on helping to prevent more shootings by giving teachers small bats. William Hall defends the plan by saying "We don't want to be sitting ducks" and "We're not just going to go hide". He believes that the old system is not enough and now there is an option to fight back. The bats all together costs 1,800 dollars and are no match for a gunman with an automatic weapon put as Mr hall said "I think a bat can disarm a pistol with a nice swing." https://www.nytimes.com/2018/04/11/us/erie-bats-school-shooting.html?rref=collection%2Fsectioncollection%2Fus&action=click&contentCollection=us®ion=rank&module=package&version=highlights&contentPlacement=7&pgtype=sectionfront
