6/11/2018 3 Comments Book Blog #2So far in the book the two find a waterfall and start swimming and the man helps the boy learn how to float and swim and then they start to walk again. They have an old ripped up map that helps them know where they are but its very hard to use. Also the gets flashbacks of his wife leaving them and leaving behind the only picture he had and when the boy was born. Then a truck with people they call they and so the man and the boy hide in the woods, there truck then breaks down and one of the group finds the two hiding and grabs the boy but then the father shot the guy in the head and the ran away. This book reminds me of a show called supernatural and the reason being that there is an alternate universe in the show and one of them is a place were it is a war filled place and the planet is dark and destroyed. In the world today I see a few aspects of this book such as the fathers care and protection of the boy.
I will be commenting on Colins and Mariahs DP

This is a very unique book I agree that this can be accurate to a father and a son in the real world although the connection to super natural I think are a little to far fetched. The show, Super Natural is less of an apocalypse show and more of a mystery / thriller and where the parts of the road where "They" attack can be uniquely thrilling I think there is a lot more shows out there that can relate in a bigger matter. Have you found anything else that relates to Super Natural so far in the book?

I can agree that Supernatural would come to mind. I watched the first season and both have horror vibes and both take place on Earth! It would be nice if you could connect and explain more on the relationship of the child and his father and how that connects with the current times. Great update, I cant wait to see how far you will get in this book next time! Make sure to invest time into this book, its wotyh some while.

Do you think there are any aspects in the book that could relate to another dystopian? I also like the connection you made with the book and the show supernatural. It is really hard to connect this book to anything so good job!
